Welcome to Design Matters!

After years of attending design events across the country, we envisioned something similar for our own community. When it never materialized, we took the initiative, bringing together interior designers, artists, floral designers, and creative experts to celebrate the art of design while giving back. What began as a keynote luncheon has grown into a vibrant, multi-day showcase featuring nationally acclaimed talent. Today, Design Matters continues to inspire, educate, and entertain, and we are proud to celebrate our 5th anniversary this year.

We are honored to partner with The Fitch Family Comprehensive Pediatric Rehabilitation Program. Proceeds from Design Matters help fund essential healing spaces, specialized equipment, and the recruitment of leading pediatric rehabilitation experts. Supporting this event means supporting UNC Children’s Hospital and the patients and families who rely on its care.

This extraordinary event is made possible by a passionate community of contributors, from our dedicated Design Matters committee to the designers, artists, florists, speakers, sponsors, and in kind donors who bring it to life. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and commitment.
